Our Australian workforce draws on decades of unique experience across combat systems, weapons, and integrated communication solutions to deliver major systems, capability life-cycle management, and technical expertise in support of the Royal Australian Navy.
Raytheon Australia is supporting the Royal Australian Navy to deliver their nationally integrated sustainment strategy as the Capability Life Cycle Manager for the Arafura Class of Offshore Patrol Vessels.
As the OPV CLCM, Raytheon Australia’s experienced team and local supply chain provides complex program management, asset management, specialist services, planning and assurance to optimise the sustainment of the OPV fleet.
Since 2005, Raytheon Australia has played a central role in supporting the delivery of Australia’s most advanced surface warships, the Hobart Class DDGs. Raytheon Australia led the combat systems integration for the SEA4000 Phase 3 Hobart Class Acquisition Program.
This success positioned Raytheon Australia to deliver the complex in-service upgrades and ongoing sustainment of the DDG Combat System as the DDG System Program Office Combat System Integrator. Raytheon Australia also supports the DDG land-based Through Life Support Facility and Command Team Trainer to support sailors and officers develop their skills and experience through simulated exercises.
In 2016, Raytheon Australia was named as the supplier of the integrated communications and weapons systems for the Royal Australian Navy’s Supply Class Auxiliary Oiler Replenishment ships. In 2021, Raytheon Australia successfully completed the final ship communications system installation.
We continue to support the AOR communication system in service via embedded personnel within the AOR SPO. Raytheon Australia also supplied the Phalanx Close-In Weapons System directly to the Commonwealth, providing training equipment and support services for the program.
Raytheon Australia is a technical support partner for the Commonwealth’s Maritime Integrated Warfare Systems Branch, supporting the Royal Australian Navy's continuous development of surface ship combat capability.
Over the past four years, Raytheon Australia has delivered over 20,000 hours of training to Navy for the DDGs.
We have also supported the integration of Next Generation Nulka onto the DDGs with software development and integration with the Australian Tactical Interface due to be completed in 2023.
These efforts build on the success, experience and expertise developed through our history of providing combat system integration, support and sustainment to the surface fleet and are helping Navy to deliver an evergreen, future-ready surface fleet.
Our technical expertise continues to support the MIWS Branch and DDG SPO, providing upgrades to the DDG combat system and the direct application of our experience and expertise to other key acquisition programs, including the Hunter Class Future Frigate program.
