Raytheon Australia is committed to developing the leaders of tomorrow, both in the Australian Defence Force and broader defence community. 

We invest in developing our own people through multi-discipline development activities including program management, engineering, technical and leadership initiatives. Our programs deliver targeted professional development aimed at creating a pipeline of talented leaders at every level of the organisation. Beyond investing in our own capability we also invite our small and medium enterprise industry partners to participate in our development programs ensuring that we contribute to the development and enhancement of Australian industry.  

Setting up our communities to thrive 

At Raytheon Australia, we are committed to improving the local communities where we live and work, from sponsoring regional programs across the country, to establishing a school-based traineeship program for students in Exmouth, Western Australia. 

Raytheon Australia also partners with schools to provide scholarships to those who show drive, initiative and interest in STEM disciplines. These scholarships reaffirm the value next-generation scientists and engineers will play in sustaining industry and national security.

Supporting our defence community

Raytheon Australia supports the education of the next generation of defence industry professionals and service personnel by partnering with Australian universities and sponsoring awards and prizes presented at Defence colleges around the country. As a sponsor of numerous awards, some for over 15 years, Raytheon Australia is demonstrating our enduring partnership with Defence.

We are a company that values the skills and experience of veterans. More than one-third of our workforce consists of former ADF members, who contribute their strong values, diverse expertise and unique experience to our company mission. 

Making these employees and their families feel valued and supported is at the core of Raytheon Australia’s mission. We are proud of our longstanding partnership with RSL LifeCare, a meaningful collaboration to support veterans and their families as they transition to civilian life. By supporting events throughout the year, including the Poppy Ball, Raytheon Australia reaffirms our commitment and shared vision with RSL LifeCare to help veterans, and their families thrive post-service. 

Raytheon Australia also has long-standing partnerships with Canberra Legacy, SA Veteran Employer network and many other veteran organisations that invest in programs that help veterans transition to civilian life, as well support veteran families and their children.

The health and wellbeing our community 

Health, safety and wellbeing is at the heart of Raytheon Australia’s organisational success. EHS&W encompasses physical and mental wellbeing and the wider environment as a vital part of overall safety. Implemented through our Mental Health First Aiders and health and wellbeing vouchers, Raytheon Australia also engages and supports various initiatives including The Heart Foundation’s My Marathon Challenge and The Push-Up Challenge.
