Raytheon Australia Leadership

Jim Gardener is the Chief Operating Officer for Raytheon Australia. Jim is responsible for Raytheon Australia’s program execution and growth which includes program delivery across the company’s product lines, production operations and sales. As the Chief Operating Officer, Jim is also responsible for managing customer relationships and assessed performances.

Jim joined Raytheon Australia in 1999 and has held leadership appointments in general management, program management, integrated logistics, and supply chain management. Furthermore, he was the Deputy Director of the Support System IPT for Australia’s largest approved major project with the Defence Materiel Organisation, the Air Warfare Destroyer program. He also spent a number of years successfully managing a portfolio of acquisition and whole-of-life sustainment programs.

Prior to his employment with Raytheon Australia, Jim had a rewarding career with the Australian Defence Force in the fields of logistics, operations, and project management. His service included time in Special Operations, Support, and Training Commands.

Jim is a graduate of the University of New South Wales, where he attained a Master’s Degree in Management (Project Management & Military Technology), and has further qualifications in integrated logistics, project management and training.
