Peter Daniel

Chief of People & Culture

Peter Daniel is the Chief of People & Culture for Raytheon Australia.

Peter is responsible for people and culture operations across the business, including HR, leadership, talent and culture, EHS&W and quality assurance.

Prior to his current role, Peter held senior leadership positions in Human Resources and Business Assurance, including his most recent role as Raytheon Australia’s Head of HR.

Peter joined Raytheon Australia after 34 years of service with the Australian Army. During his extensive military service, Peter attained the rank of Brigadier, with his final two appointments being Director General Supply Chain for Joint Logistics Command (2010 – 2013) and Director General Personnel – Army (2013 – 2016).

His service, which included several operational deployments, was recognised by the award of a Conspicuous Service Cross (CSC) in 2003 and his appointment as a Member of the Order of Australia in the 2015 New Year’s Day Honours List.

Peter has supply chain, general logistics, specialised HR, and leadership skills, and has been actively engaged in strategy development in relation to workplace culture and ethics. Active in the community, Peter mentors individuals who have difficulty in obtaining work and assists a small foundation that provides education opportunities for indigenous Australians.

Peter is a graduate of the Royal Military College Duntroon. He holds a Master of Arts from the University of Canberra and a Master of Science from the National Defense University, Washington D.C.
