Acting General Manager, Above Water Systems
Roger is the General Manager – Above Water Systems (Acting), appointed in Sep 2025. The AWS product line is a leading provider and integrator of naval combat system solutions, sustainment, and enterprise services to the Royal Australian Navy. Focused upon the delivery and sustainment of the RAN surface fleet, with unique experience in combat systems, weapons, integrated communications system solutions, electronic warfare and asset management.
Roger was previously Director – Above Water Systems (AWS)responsible for execution of the portfolio of programs led by the AWS product line, ensuring appropriate programmatic and financial governance of the projects and the development of the product line project managers.
Roger joined Raytheon Australia in 2006 as a key member of the Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) Program Combat System team. Roger worked in several AWD project management roles supporting procurement, deliver and ultimately as the CS Program Manager overseeing a technical team of over 100 highly skilled engineers and technicians.
Prior to joining Raytheon Australia, Roger worked in several engineering and project management roles primarily Electronic Warfare related, with Tenix Defence – Electronic Systems Division (now BAES) and Avalon Systems (now Ultra Maritime).
Roger is a graduate of the Raytheon Leadership Continuum and was Raytheon Australia’s Program Manager of the Year in 2010. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) and a Diploma of Project Management.
