Chief of Requirements & Capabilities
Scott McRae is the Chief of Requirements and Capabilities for Raytheon Australia with responsibility for business growth, opportunity development and capture, and enterprise strategic relationships.
In this role, Scott leads the growth of the company through defining and implementing the corporate strategy, understanding customer expectations and requirements, managing competitive and customer relationships, and determining new business investment priorities to achieve growth targets.
Scott joined Raytheon Australia in 2007 and has held leadership appointments of increasing seniority in general management, program management and strategy and business development. This included a secondment to the United Kingdom for three years, where he led a combined Raytheon Australia and Ultra Electronics workforce, responsible for delivering the Integrated Sonar System for the Air Warfare Destroyer program.
Prior to joining Raytheon Australia, Scott held a variety of program management and cost engineering roles in the defence, resources and event management industries. This followed a rewarding career with the Australian Army, where Scott held operations and staff positions, including exchange postings and operational deployments with the British Army and the United States Marine Corps.
Scott has a Masters of Information Systems from the University of Southern Queensland, a Bachelor of Arts (Economics and Politics) from the University of New South Wales and is a certified practising project director with the Australian Institute of Project Management and maintains membership with several professional organisations.
