Vanessa Hill is the Chief of Contracts & Supplier Governance for Raytheon Australia.

Previously, Vanessa Hill was the Head of Contracts, leading the Contracts & Supply Chain function to deliver competitive advantage by connecting with every part of the business to provide effective commercial solutions that achieve stakeholder objectives and deliver value to the company.

Vanessa managed contract support to Raytheon Australia’s product lines, and has provided commercial advice in defence and government industries for over 20 years. She has worked primarily on large projects of national significance including Collins Submarines, Naval Ship Building programs, Landing Helicopter Docks, and Short Range Ground Based Air Defence.

Vanessa has represented Raytheon Australia and the Department of Defence in various domestic and international engagements, including commercial discussion and negotiations.

She is legally qualified with commercial expertise in all aspects of government procurement and contracting from strategy development, tendering, evaluation, negotiations, contract finalisation and management. Vanessa is an experienced probity advisor, and successfully performed the role of Internal Probity Lead for the SEA 1000 competitive evaluation process from strategy development, probity planning and implementation, and direct liaison with the external AGS Probity Advisors.

Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Business in Marketing & Organisational Behaviour, and a Bachelor of Law, holding an in-house Legal Practise Certificate.
